We at AWSG pride ourselves in being able to provide the hard to find for our readers and friends. Due to a recent heightened interest in our activities by certain branches for the U S Department of Justice we do not stock any hardware at our office but we do know some folks who can help you get what you still need.

In order to find the right cutlery or the right electronic equipment to suit your needs, please email : bret@awsg.us

So-called “bug” detectors and hidden camera detectors are not illegal in most places if we know your needs we can respond with the right equipment at the right price in a short time frame.

It is my understanding that cell phone jamming devices and GPS jamming devices are very much illegal. These days AWSG readers can still see some of my old photos on display below. Their performance specifications listed with the photos are from memory and if you need any more information about such equipment please email me and I can give you the most up to date facts available.

We also have some nice older photos of the Colonial Knife government issued automatic knives. These are rugged, reliable, and inexpensive tools for military, police, or EMS personnel. Any regular guy and gal would love to have one too, but federal law and some state laws limit where these fine tools can be shipped. I know that lots of military collectors and avid campers would like to know more about them. I can answer any questions that you might have about these items.

I can help you find what you need just email me. bret@awsg.us

Yes, Colonial Cutlery is still made in the USA.

The M-736 model has a half serrated spring opening blade with a safety lock, a traditional military lanyard bail, and the seat belt cutting hook-style blade. Standard color is OD green, tan is sometimes available.

The SWAT CLIP is a AWSG exclusive. The blades are the same as the M-736, but there is no lanyard bail. The bail is replaced by a pocket clip and it is available in black only.

The Colonial Ranger 550 has a single blade that is half serrated. This spring opening pocket knife has the standard military type safety lock, a strong pocket clip, and a lanyard loop molded into the grip.

It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the battery.

You have a 3 meter radius of coverage for about one and a half hours with a full charge.

Published May 09, 2011 | FoxNews.com

Pakistan’s prime minister warned the United States Monday that his country could respond to any future U.S. raids on its soil with “full force,” in the latest escalation of rhetoric in the wake of Usama bin Laden’s death.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, like other officials in Islamabad, said the killing of bin Laden in northern Pakistan was a positive step. But, reflecting concerns that the unilateral strike violated his country’s sovereignty, Gilani sent a clear message to the United States. He warned any “overt or covert” attack would be met with a “matching response” in the future.

“Pakistan reserves the right to retaliate with full force. No one should underestimate the resolve and capability of our nation and armed forces to defend our sacred homeland,” Gilani said.

Pakistani officials are taking a firm stance on the raid, as the United States analyzes the trove of evidence collected from the bin Laden compound. That evidence — described as the largest intelligence find ever from a senior terror leader — could lead the United States to other terrorists on Pakistani soil, once again forcing President Obama to decide whether to go around the Pakistanis to capture or kill a high-value terror target.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney has said the president reserves the right to enter Pakistani territory to act against terror suspects if Pakistan will not, and reiterated that message when asked about Gilani’s speech. He said Monday that while the U.S. takes Pakistanis’ concerns seriously, the U.S. does “not apologize” for the raid.

“It’s simply beyond doubt in his mind that he had the right and the imperative to do this,” Carney said Monday.

With analysts combing through the bin Laden files for clues on the whereabouts of Al Qaeda’s Ayman al-Zawahiri or Taliban chief Mullah Omar, some are calling on Obama to strike again while Al Qaeda and its allies are staggering.

“We have no right to keep our troops on the defense dying, when we know where some of the highest-ranking people in the Taliban are,” Bing West, former assistant defense secretary, told Fox News on Monday.

Former CIA Director Michael Hayden said that if the U.S. gets bin Laden’s deputy — presumed to be al-Zawahiri — in its sights, “the same calculus” that was used on bin Laden should apply.

But the thought already has Pakistani leaders fuming.

Husain Haqqani, Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S., told ABC’s “This Week” that the Pakistani government wants to continue “joint operations,” but is concerned about the nature of the raid last weekend.

“Nobody said that we didn’t want Usama bin Laden taken out. What we are offended by is the violation of our sovereignty,” he said. “Now, we’ve heard the American explanation. But at the same time, try and put yourself in the position of a Pakistani leader who has to go to votes from the same people who will turn around and say, ‘You know what? You can’t protect this country from American helicopters coming in.’”

U.S. officials have made clear that they did not loop in the Pakistanis on the raid out of concern that somebody would tip off bin Laden.

Asked about the Pakistanis’ concerns, Carney said repeatedly Monday that the U.S. continues to view its relationship with the country as “important.”

Obama, in an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes,” confirmed that he did not inform Pakistani officials of the raid in advance, though he praised Pakistan’s cooperation considering “we’ve been able to kill more terrorists on Pakistani soil than just about any place else.”

However, Obama also questioned whether anybody inside the Pakistani government might have known about bin Laden’s location all along.

“We were surprised that he could maintain a compound like that for that long without there being a tip-off,” Obama said. “We think that there had to be some sort of support network for bin Laden inside of Pakistan. But we don’t know who or what that support network was. We don’t know whether there might have been some people inside of government, people outside of government, and that’s something that we have to investigate and, more importantly, the Pakistani government has to investigate.”

How the US Killed Bin Laden in His Multi-Million Dollar Mansion

02 May 11 09:42by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

(Israelnationalnews.com) A U.S. helicopter landed on the roof of Osama Bin Laden’s mansion in Pakistan shortly after midnight Saturday, and Navy SEALs burst out and surrounded the mansion’s 12-14-foot thick walls and killed Terrorist No. 1 in a 40-minute firefight. He was shot in the head.

Fox News quoted a source saying that he was given the opportunity to surrender, but other sources said the mission was to eliminate Bin Laden and not take him alive.

None of the American fighters were killed, but it was not disclosed if anyone was wounded.

SEAL (Sea, Air and Land) teams from three other helicopters, which landed on the huge acreage surrounding the building, participated in the raid on the multi-million dollar mansion of Bin Laden. His son also was killed in the operation, which was kept secret from Pakistan’s government because of the high probability of the presence of double agents.

One of the helicopters developed a technical malfunction after the operation, and American forces blew it up so nothing would fall into the hands of other terrorists.

Bin Laden’s presence in the mansion gave lie to the assumption that he had been hiding out in a cave in Afghanistan, which he may have done in the past.

In addition to the thick surrounding walls, other indications that the mansion was a hideout were the high windows and few access points.

Approximately two dozen Navy Seals participated in the secret operation, carried out between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m.

Besides Bin Laden, the U.S. soldiers killed two of his couriers, his son and a woman who was used to shield him, and captured two people. As reported earlier, Bin Laden’s body is in the hands of American officials and his identity has been confirmed through DNA testing.

The United States said it is “ensuring it [the body] is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition. It’s something we take seriously and therefore it’s being handled in an appropriate manner.”

Ten Years and Forty Minutes
Although the operation was over in just 40 minutes, it actually began in 2001, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. American investigators gathered information on Bin Laden’s couriers, one of whom was considered the most likely person to follow in order to find the head of the Al-Qaeda terrorist network.

The investigators discovered the courier’s name in 2007, and the area in Pakistan where he operated was identified in 2009. Bin Laden’s luxurious home was pinpointed last August on the outskirts of Abbotabad, Pakistan.

Obama administration officials told MSNBC that its “best information was that Bin Laden was there with his youngest wife. Our analysts looked at this from every angle. No other candidate fit the bill as well as Bin Laden did… The bottom line of our analysis was that we had high confidence that the compound held a high-value terrorist target. There was a strong probability that it was Bin Laden.”

This information was shared “with no other country. Only a very small group of people inside our own government knew of this operation in advance.”

my response:

OK, after bin Laden was found “hiding” one thousand meters from a Pakistani Army base, can we finally stop calling Pakistan an ally in our fight against Islamic terror?

Can we admit that water boarding gets results?

Can we see that Peace, Love, and Understanding only happens once those who threaten to kill us have been killed or captured?

The US government says that bin Laden’s remains were taken care of according to Islamic traditions. We could have gotten better results if was had fed him to the pigs. If future Jihadists knew that they had a chance at becoming pig shit instead of martyrs, they might just trade in their AKs for lunch boxes and go get real, productive jobs. BR

March 2: Police surround a bus carrying U.S. military personnel at the site where two U.S. airmen have been killed in a shooting in front of Terminal 2 of the Frankfurt airport, Germany.

FRANKFURT, Germany — The U.S. Air Force says two of its airmen have been killed and two wounded in a shooting outside Frankfurt airport.

Spokeswoman Maj. Beverly Mock said German police have the suspect in Wednesday afternoon’s shooting in custody and that she could not release any further details on the victims until their next of kin have been notified.

The gunman opened fire on a bus carrying the airmen as it sat outside Terminal 2 at the airport, Frankfurt police spokesman Manfred Fuellhardt said.

Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Rexhepi says German police have identified the suspect who is in custody as Arif Uka, a Kosovo citizen from the northern town of Mitrovica.

“This is a devastating and a tragic event,” Rexhepi said. “We are trying to find out was this something that was organized or what was the nature of the attack.”

The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel told reporters in Berlin that two American soldiers had been killed, as she condemned the “terrible incident.”

“We’ll do everything possible to find out what happened,” she pledged.

At the airport, taxi cab driver Salimi Seraidon said he was sitting at a stand about 200 yards (meters) away when the attack took place, and that it was over quickly as police rushed onto the scene.

“We just heard the shots,” he said.

Fuellhardt said he could not give out any information on the suspect, but authorities in Kosovo said he was a citizen of the tiny Balkan nation.

Spokesmen for the Pentagon and the Air Force in the U.S. had no immediate information on the incident.

While German police had no immediate information on what could be behind the shooting, a member of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Patrick Meehan, said in Washington that it looked like a terrorist attack.

The chairman of the subcommittee that focuses on terrorism and intelligence added he did not have all the facts about the shooting yet and was still being briefed by his staff.

But German news agency DAPD quoted Hesse’s state interior minister, who had rushed to the scene of the shooting, as saying that there were no indications of a terrorist attack.

my response:

As citizens of the “Devil America” all of us are targets for Jihadists both here at home and in foreign countries. The two military personnel murdered and the others who were wounded stood out as more obvious targets due to their uniforms. Most of your fellow citizens do not realize the full scope of the hatred that a majority of Muslims harbor for the US and its people.

Our human rights, our exercise of free will, our economic strength, and our open culture are not only a threat to everything that Islam stands for, our existance proves that Islamic teachings are wrong. Muhammad was a brutal tyrant who invented Islam as a tool for controlling others. Islam lives today only because of tyrants who hide the truth of the outside world from their Islamic slaves.

We have to prepare ourselves and our loved ones to be on alert from attack at home and away from home. BR

Posted GMT 2-24-2011 3:6:34

Assyrian International News Agency

For the second time in as many days, Egyptian armed force stormed the 5th century old St. Bishoy monastery in Wadi el-Natroun, 110 kilometers from Cairo. Live ammunition was fired, wounding two monks and six Coptic monastery workers. Several sources confirmed the army’s use of RPG ammunition. Four people have been arrested including three monks and a Coptic lawyer who was at the monastery investigating yesterday’s army attack.

Monk Aksios Ava Bishoy told activist Nader Shoukry of Freecopts the armed forces stormed the main entrance gate to the monastery in the morning using five tanks, armored vehicles and a bulldozer to demolish the fence built by the monastery last month to protect themselves and the monastery from the lawlessness which prevailed in Egypt during the January 25 Uprising.

“When we tried to address them, the army fired live bullets, wounding Father Feltaows in the leg and Father Barnabas in the abdomen,” said Monk Ava Bishoy. “Six Coptic workers in the monastery were also injured, some with serious injuries to the chest.”

The injured were rushed to the nearby Sadat Hospital, the ones in serious condition were transferred to the Anglo-Egyptian Hospital in Cairo.

Father Hemanot Ava Bishoy said the army fired live ammunition and RPGs continuously for 30 minutes, which hit part of the ancient fence inside the monastery. “The army was shocked to see the monks standing there praying ‘Lord have mercy’ without running away. This is what really upset them,” he said. “As the soldiers were demolishing the gate and the fence they were chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and ‘Victory, Victory’.”

He also added that the army prevented the monastery’s car from taking the injured to hospital.

The army also attacked the Monastery of St. Makarios of Alexandria in Wady el-Rayan, Fayoum, 100 km from Cairo. It stormed the monastery and fired live ammunition on the monks. Father Mina said that one monk was shot and more than ten have injuries caused by being beaten with batons. The army demolished the newly erected fence and one room from the actual monastery and confiscated building materials. The monastery had also built a fence to protect itself after January 25 and after being attacked by armed Arabs and robbers leading to the injury of six monks, including one monk in critical condition who is still hospitalized.

The army had given on February 21 an ultimatum to this monastery that if the fence was not demolished within 48 hours by the monks, the army would remove it themselves (AINA 2-23-2011).

The Egyptian Armed Forces issued a statement on their Facebook page denying that any attack took place on St. Bishoy Monastery in Wady el-Natroun, “Reflecting our belief in the freedom and chastity of places of worship of all Egyptians.” The statement went on to say that the army just demolished some fences built on State property and that it has no intention of demolishing the monastery itself (video of army shooting at Monastery).

Father Hedra Ava Bishoy said they are in possession of whole carton of empty bullet shells besides the people who are presently in hospital to prove otherwise.

The army attack came after the monks built a fence for their protection after the police guards left their posts and fled post the January 25th Uprising and after being attacked by prisoners who were at large, having escaped from their prisons during that period.

“We contacted state security and they said there was no police available for protection,” said Father Bemwa,” So we called the Egyptian TV dozens of times to appeal for help and then we were put in touch with the military personnel who told us to protect ourselves until they reach us.” He added that the monks have built a low fence on the borders of one side of the monastery which is vulnerable to attacks, on land which belongs to the monastery, with the monks and monastery laborers keeping watch over it 24 hours a day.

The monks of St. Bishoy are now holding a sit-in in front of monastery in protest against the abuse of the army by using live bullets against civilians

Nearly 7000 Copts staged a peaceful rally in front of the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo, where Pope Shenouda III was giving his weekly lecture (video), after which they marched towards Tahrir Square to protest the armed forces attacks on Coptic monasteries.

By Mary Abdelmassih

my response:

Reports of the Egyptian genocide of Christians have been flowing into the Obama White House daily starting four months prior to the uprising in Cairo.

To this day the Obama administration has been whitewashing to church burnings and mass murders while telling the American public that we have no reason to fear the Muslim Brotherhood taking a role in the new Egyptian democracy.

POTUS is either an Islamist or a fool or both. I can’t tell. He hides too much of his true self for anyone to know. BR

Published February 24, 2011 | FoxNews.com

A college student from Saudi Arabia studying chemical engineering in Texas has been arrested by the FBI for allegedly planning a terrorist attack on U.S. targets using explosive chemicals.

Khalid Aldawsari, who is legally in the U.S. on a student visa, allegedly targeted the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush. He was arrested late Tuesday on a federal charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

“Yesterday’s arrest demonstrates the need for and the importance of vigilance and the willingness of private individuals and companies to ask questions and contact the authorities when confronted with suspicious activities,” said James T. Jacks, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas.

Aldawsari, 20, entered the U.S. in October 2008 from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to study at Texas Tech University, then transferred earlier this year to nearby South Plains College.

Federal prosecutors say Aldawsari had been researching online how to construct an improvised explosive device using several chemicals as ingredients. Authorities say Aldawsari’s diary indicated the young man had been plotting an attack for years and obtained a scholarship so he could come directly to the United States to carry out jihad.

“After mastering the English language, learning how to build explosives and continuous planning to target the infidel Americans, it is time for jihad,” the student wrote in his journal, according to court documents.

In e-mails Aldawsari apparently sent himself, he listed the names of 12 reservoir dams in Colorado and California. He also wrote an e-mail that mentioned “Tyrant’s House” with the address of President Bush’s home. The FBI’s affidavit said he considered using infant dolls to hide explosives and was possibly targeting a nightclub with a backpack filled with explosives.

The White House said President Barack Obama was notified about the plot prior to Aldawsari’s arrest Wednesday.

“This arrest once again underscores the necessity of remaining vigilant against terrorism here and abroad,” White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said in a statement Thursday.

One of the chemical companies, Carolina Biological Supply of Burlington, N.C., reported suspicious purchases by the student to the FBI on Feb. 1. Within weeks, federal agents had traced his other online purchases, discovered extremist posts he made on the Internet and secretly searched his apartment, computer and e-mail accounts and read his diary, according to court records.

The FBI said the North Carolina company reported the attempts to purchase phenol, a chemical that can be used to make the explosive trinitrophenol, also known as TNP, or picric acid. Aldawsari falsely told the supplier he was associated with a university and wanted the phenol for “off-campus, personal research,” according to court records. But frustrated by questions, Aldawsari canceled his order and later e-mailed himself instructions for producing phenol. Prosecutors said that in December 2010, he successfully purchased concentrated nitric and sulfuric acids that are combined to make TNP.

“As alleged in the complaint, Aldawsari purchased ingredients to construct an explosive device and was actively researching potential targets in the United States. Thanks to the efforts of many agents, analysts and prosecutors, this plot was thwarted before it could advance further,” said Assistant Attorney General Kris. “This case serves as another reminder of the need for continued vigilance both at home and abroad.”

Aldawsari is expected to appear in federal court in Lubbock on Friday morning. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

my response:

“Authorities say Aldawsari’s diary indicated the young man had been plotting an attack for years and obtained a scholarship so he could come directly to the United States to carry out jihad.”

Any nation that violates human rights by the imposition of Sharia law has no business sending any of its subjects to the USA. If those who live under Sharia want to be free and able to exercise their basic human rights the government of the United States and most of its people should be willing to help them free their own countries from Sharia.

We should not import persons who follow Sharia any more than we should import persons who are Nazis. If you do not understand and believe in human rights don’t even try to come to the USA. BR
